PRODUCTION STILLS

Double Nickel

From the Double Nickel lookbook:

Shot at a closed restaurant in Missoula, MT, Double Nickel is a crime and horror that aims to make a name for itself with a genre cocktail,, heavy on aesthetic. Double Nickel paints the frame of small-time crime with a touch of evil.

The film will stand as 10-minute exercise in cinematic technique, dripping with pulp dialogue and nefarious characters. The completed film will roll out submissions in every major and genre film festival it can sink its hooks into.

An ordered aesthetic will structure the visual style of Double Nickel. From long-tracking dolly shots, to a locked-off, three-shot master, the mise-en-scene of the frame will hold the discipline of patience. Heavy with shadow, and informed with technique, the visual framework of Double Nickel will call back the tight structure of the films of the 1970s.
