Derelict areas of play.
On one of my many trips to Butte, America, I stumbled across a scene of a driveway with a basketball hoop. In the midst of the area was the front fascia of a sedan, laying haphazardly where the homeowners play basketball. When reviewing my frames from the day, it struck me as a humorous and sad scenario. I set out creating a collection of images of similar play areas that have been left to rot. I continue to seek other derelict playgrounds on my travels, adding to the collection as an ongoing project.
I showed this body of work at the Ten Mile Creek Brewery, in Helena, MT from February 2020 - May 2020.
